This study aims to reveal in the context of personification of the perception of mobile phone in the
mind of individuals. When the meanings that it contains in the concept of perception are considered, it
expresses an abstract conceptualization. It is accepted that the concept of perception, which indicates the
meaning created by an event, fact or object in the mind and emotions of the individual, differs in accordance
with the individual's individual characteristics, regardless of the event, phenomenon or object. Perception is a
complex and difficult concept to define and embody each individual in the context of the fact that he/she is
‘single’ and ‘unique’. It is known that the most general definition of the conceptualization process of perception
is closely related to the concept of image defined as ‘mental representation of sensory information’. In this
context, while focusing on the concept of sensation and perception in the first part of the study; then, the
concepts of personificiation and image were focused. In the last part of the study, questions were asked
regarding the perception of mobile phones in the minds of individuals. These questions are about the perception
of personalizing the mobile phone. The main problem of the research has been that the mobile phone has
become an indispensable object of daily life and attempts to establish symbolic interactionism through this
object. Based on this problem in the research, the answer to "If the cell phone was a person, what would its
physical and personal characteristics be like?" was tried to be searched and according to the findings, it was
found that individuals have perceptions about mobile phones similar to their physical and personality traits.
